I wanted to write a long rant blog about people making up and/or believing in nonsense – one of my goals for 2012 is to tackle idiocy head on more this year….

then I remembered this beat poem from Tim Minchin… so good that they made it into an awesome animation.

This video pretty much says everything I’d want to… 100x better.

Bournemouth Spartans Christmas Swim and friends

This year I got to tick another one off my list:

Join the Spartans for their annual Christmas Swim – DONE!

Mum joined me for the swim, I think she’s probably not as used to the sea temperature as I am… very proud anyway.

BUT it wasn’t the actual spartans swim… no, for some reason, there were 2 swims.

Well, we arrived, it was cold, we saw one group about to go in, so we joined them. The spartans may of had the mayor and a tv crew but this lot were kind enough to let us join them. They had a bigger group, all I can find out is a news item on McMillan news page (dated 3/11/10) and a justgiving page

If you are these people, or know them, do get in touch. I’d love to see both groups swim together next year, it would of been nearly 50 people!

UPDATE: think I have located a fellow swimmer on FB, have emailed to try and locate the video!

Recently I’ve had to yank out the odd mutant eyebrow, which seems to try n grow out at crazy angles… and I realised today what it might be…

My body wants to grow mutant old may eyebrows a la rowan williams…but wait… his surname is williams too… maybe its some genetic conspiracy!

or maybe its just one rogue folicle (?) thats gone wonky… whatever, tweezers a go go.

No really, that hard hitting heavyweight of journalism that is the daily echo has an excellent article today… no not the “outrage” about BB guns being for sale… (god forbid any child who shoots at targets at a young age must turn out to be a master criminal and gangster… like i did)

The mystery of the lost shoe

poor litte shoe, how did it get there, well the echo reaches a shocking conclusion that proves once and for all the existence of extra-terrestrial beings… its proof of alien abduction.

Cool.

I can’t think of any other reason for mystery shoes, can you??
