dear america

Please go out and vote for Obama.

I don’t think the world would survive another idiotic republican in charge of your country.

How the flippin heck did enough of you think it would be a good idea to vote in the (other) Dubya… twice?

Make it right and I promise you’ll see your international standing grow back a bit, people might even start trusting you again instead of declaring jihads on your ass…

…I mean really, McCain and Palin? Grandad and the Hockey Mom?

Please.

branding the recession

Anyone noticed this graphic?

the downturn graphic

The BBC has branded the recession!

Yes… Gone are the stories of “the global credit crunch” the “worldwide economic crisis” etc… no it’s all now branded “the downturn”.

It even gets a little video intro of its own with a wiggly arrow - wow, see before that I didn’t know what was going on.

I can’t help but feel the BBC and media in general are making this story worse, sure there are a lot of factors and I think we’re overdue a correction, surely branding it should come after the event?

Was the depression called the depression at the time? I don’t remember hearing the dotcom era called the dotcom era, until the bubble burst.

Are the media banging on about it too much, or are the public still in denial? I’m not sure.

the weekend of craziness

Wow.

Thursday, worked all day (last day) then did the show, packed and drove to Luton.

Kipped in the car for 2 hours, checked in, flew to Poland.

Sat in a car to Elblag, ate some yum polish food (inc. boiled fat with things in it - actually delicious) then chilled out for a bit in the apartment and watched a film.

Sorted tunes out, played to a cool crowd of peeps (quite commercial really but good fun) drank some more, played B2B for the last hour.

5 hours later had to wake up, had a shower, got taken for breakfast in the old town, driven back to Gdansk only to land in… Standsted… bugger.

£77 for a cab?? No chance, national express… £11, winner. Ate a sandwich, sat on a bus to Luton, got the car, drove to southampton.

Had a shower and a well earned magners, trundled off to meet the stag party (a mwah ha ha ha - photos to follow ;-) ) boogied, drank, took some photos, trundled back to hotel, slept.

Breakfast, back to bomo… and relax.

10 hour sleep then onwards with world domination… well, setting up the limited company and all the other stuff.

Watch this space! Pics n Vids to follow too!!
