could religion be any more ridiculous?
arguing over whether women should have equal status as bishops?
I’m sorry but thats so ridiculous its not funny, didn’t the rest of the civilised world give women equal rights years ago?
To me, its smacks of the hypocrisy of religion that two groups can interpret the same text and cry, yes there were tears today at the synod, over women being ordained as bishops whilst preaching about tolerance, loving thy neighbour and respect.
I try to be open minded about these things, despite increasingly finding myself drawn to humanism, but its just so ridiculous that an intelligent being could watch this and not be disturbed by it.
