wedding waves

I’m all for people getting married… celebrating their love and bla bla bla… but jeez, is it me or do these things come in waves??

In 2 weeks time, I have 3 weddings in one week… Wed, Fri and Sat!!!

weddings costI think I need to put aside money into a wedding fund, with an overseas wedding (well jersey)… various hotel bills… presents.. travel… its all adding up, when you only have limited income.

In other news, i’m not really a tightwad.

The job hunting is still moving… slowly… got another interview tomo and a third (yes third for 1 job) interview/test day to be confirmed soon.

I had planned to do some work today, having worked a ridiculous amount over the weekend… i’m off to the beach. ciao.

PS bike club later - 645 bomo pier

anonymous vs scientology - TV coverage

I’ve blogged plenty of times about Anonymous vs Scientology, I think its telling that the “mainstream media” are now getting onto the story - CNN ran a headline story (and interview) today, as did channel 9 in Oz

This weekend sees the 4th worldwide protest at Scientology organisations, I take my hats off to Anonymous for their persistence, with msm coverage their campaign can only grow.

Personally I’ve read a lot on both sides, to me it seems clear Scientology is a pretty evil group. I admire the Anonymous declaration that explains they are protesting the methods and practices of Scientology and not the religion itself. (Although to me the whole alien souls trapped in our bodys, should seem fair game to any sane person!)

Its telling that Anonymous feel they need to hide their identity at protests, as id’d critics of Scientology fall foul to a practice (documented in the Scientology books) called “fair game” - essential they aim to discredit any opposition by harassing them, throwing false allegations, issuing frivolous law suits, filing false complaints to the police and generally being dishonest.

I didn’t believe all this could be true, I LIVE by the moto of not believing anything on the internet tubes, sadly there really is just too much evidence (photos, video, text).

How does it end? Will scientology just implode? Hmmm…

May Xenu protect anyone protesting the cult this weekend.

Internet tomfooolery and linkage

Apologies to anyone who got spam from djdubyah at hotmail dot com… I don’t get how thought… its not an account I use, its closed - needless to say DO NOT VISIT THE SITE, either by typing in the URL or clicking any links.

Odder still, I’m aware of 2 other people whos hotmail accounts have sent out messages… perhaps someone has hacked hotmail? that would be funny… a bit.

Weird Linkage… I’m still getting lots of traffic for this old post on bullying (by old I mean 2 1/2 years!), although all the hits come from google, I can’t be the only person to of written such an article?

I just tried a few different phrases and it came top, above the BBC! wtf(eck)?

orig article

using the google link: prefix.. it shows, no-one linking to it! The mystery continues…

falling off wagons

you just have to get back on again!

wagon

In no particular order:

The Alcohol Wagon: I won’t be drinking much on nights out, had a few over the weekend.. not a problem, but if I’m going to do the swim again I need all the help I can get… which leads to…

The Exercise Wagon: As well as swimming and bike club, I’ve started exercising again (simplefit) - this one was more pushed than fell..

The TaskFreak Wagon: Every time I get a good plan going, life seems to chuck me a curve ball… as I started to give up on getting a job and work on an alternate plan… I had a load of interviews come up (another one tomo) - my time man. went a bit wonky, trying to fit everything in… getting it back on track now

The Healthy Food Wagon: I’m snacking quite badly, more fruit, less choc :slaps wrist:

Erm… some of that doesn’t make sense… bed now, stuff to do tomo!

luke dubyah dot com

I don’t know why I didn’t consolidate my online DJ presence sooner… rather than links to myspace and facebook pages and dontstayin and mixes and clubs and and and…

Now I’ll just point people to Luke Dubyah dot com - at the moment its just that, a set of links to other places, soon it’ll be a bit more with mixes and stuff directly on the site.

Tom Middleton was amazing, gave him a copy of mine n Chris’s new tune, he came over while I was playing to say thanks and he’d drop me an email… if he does email, even to say he didn’t like it, that’d be amazing!

LEGEND, if you get the chance go see him.

when does a religion need a contract?

When its a business.

A litigious, dangerous and totalitarian one at that.

contract

Scientology suffered another blow today with the publishing of its contract to Wikileaks - I think my favourite part has to be the end…

“I have carefully read this contract and fully understand its contents and consequences. I also understand that I am not eligible for any Scientology religious services unless i sign this contract. I reaffirm that i wish to participate in Scientology religious services and that this choice is an independent exercise of my free will. I fully understand that by signing below, I am forever giving up my right to sue the church, its staff and any of the herein above referenced releases for any injury or damage suffered in any way connected with Scientology religious services.”

Hahaha… imagine this at christian church?? “Sorry you can’t take this communion and praise the lord, until you sign this contract…” :D :D

More evidence in my mind that Scientology is evil.

Whilst I can’t directly support Anonymous as the nearest protest is either Plymouth, London or Brighton… I admire their dedication protesting every month against the abuses of Scientology.

This month their focus is on the “disconnection” policy the church has, whereby you are only allowed limited contact with your family, if they dare to speak out against Scientology and are declared an SP (”Suppressive Person”).

In fact, just by writing this blog, I am in danger of becoming an “SP”. Should I die mysteriously, or be accused of any crimes, you know who to blame.

Off for a swim now, to clean off my body thetans.
