have i got sunstroke?

No. I have however either had a eureka moment, or my most stupid idea ever.

The plan was - “project A” had to reach target A by the time I came back, or I’d get a job… pffft, I’m changing that.

It’s all very cryptic for those of you reading, who haven’t had an insight into Project A… so lets unveil the plan.

I’m writing a book (I’ve very nearly finished). Just a small one, covering a specific area. I had originally planned to sell it as an ebook… target A being sales of a certain amount, that led into a 3 stage plan.

Today I realised there’s a much better way to hit my long term goals, I’m going to give the book away for free.

Finishing the book to a high standard and giving it away free will make me much more likely to hit the big target, to land a good deal to research and write a larger, more extensive version of the book.

I think to succeed you have to think a bit different, so rather than trying to push an ebook to sell a certain amount with the aim to then pursue a full deal, I’m going to give it away for free.

Overcoming obscurity is the biggest challenge I face, not making money from my first book. By changing my approach I reckon I hit the challenge head on setting me up for future success. By flipping it on its head, I free myself from a stack of issues and can much more effectively drive traffic to the target site, for future use.

Sunstroke - no, insane - maybe… time will tell.

Chillin at Harbord

Taking a few days chillin at Andy n Emma’s lovely little unit (flats are called units here, weird eh?).

Nice to take some time to chill, plan and read… take a wander to Curl Curl and Freshwater Beaches when I feel like it and work on “plan A”.

A couple of pics for you..

Growing A mo

one thing i’ll take with me from Melbourne, is the AWESOME charity idea of Movember - basically to raise awareness of men’s health, loads of guys out here “grow a mo” (Moustache) in November and then meet up for parties to shave them off at the end of the month!

Genius.

I’m gonna grow a mo next year, in the UK the main charity is a prostate cancer one.

What I loved about it, was the random high fives when Mo Bros greeted each other out and about, and over hearing a guy in a pub explain to his mate, why he was growing a Mo!

We should all do it next year. 100%

—– UPDATE —–

Old Bournemouth Friends Neil + Lucy came over to Andy + Emma’s house for a BBQ tonight… and… Neil is growing a Mo!!!

Check this bad boy out… thats it, I’m soooo doing it next year!!!!!

quick hello from sunny melbourne

Melbourne has been a whole loada fun so far, i’ll write a longer update when I get back to Sydney… encountered my first wildlife today (apart from parrots n bird things in sydney) an Echinada (spelling?) - a giant hedgehog/porcupine thing that was walking down the road and 5 pelicans… which are much bigger than I realised. Been to the Great ocean road, had a really good time… will post some pics later too. off out now to sample the nightlife… wooop!
