In light of the fact I’m getting a year older on wednesday, you’re all invited to join me at Bar Fruit on Thursday at 8pm for a mojito or 3.

I’m also planning a post-bank holiday chilled bbq on monday if anyone fancies it.

ffffffffff now I’ve hit that 3 prefix birthdays have lost their sheen… still, if weather holds n I get drunk enough, maybe a late night beach “race” is on the cards… any takers?

That said, there are certain signs I’m actually growing up (maturing if you will)… one of them stood out to me over the weekend, when I realised I had more types of tea than alcohol in my kitchen… I’m lovin my green tea with ginseng btw…

It’s nice of Bournemouth council that they get the red arrows perform, on or near my birthday each year. The annual woooosh… oooohhh…. aaahhhh…. “oh look they made a heart, aaawwww”….

It’s been in retirement for some time now, but I think its in terminal decline now

I dug it out to have a play with ubuntu (linux), the hinge had always been a bit funny but after it’d been on a couple of hours… with a very unhealthy sounding CD-rom drive, the hinge made a very nasty cracking noise as I folded it shut.

Pity. I really wanted to get my head into ubuntu/linux. Ah well, its not like I had any data left on it or really used it… still, was handy when I needed to send a fax last week!

Might have a go with a screwdriver n see if it has any legs left, although without a working drive, installing ubuntu could be fun!

On closer inspection, part of the hinge is broken… doh. cd-drive doesn’t seem to read at all either.
