doesn’t the Thames go through London…

have I missed something, no news agencies seem to be discussing the floods hitting London… by my maths if its still raining and the river flows through to London… won’t London be next? Or will that Thames barrier thingy make it ok? Still I’m supsrised that with the amount of news hours talking about the floods… London doesn’t even get a nod.

Ah well… guess we’ll find out in a couple of days whe it gets downstream…

  1. There’s already flooding in parts of London (mostly South East I think). Any worse is being avoided as I understand it by clever usage of the many locks/weirs/barriers along the currently affected rivers; and it’s a case of engineers working round the clock deciding where to send the water so it floods fewest properties etc
