happy new year!

It’s chinese new year today and any minute now it’s going to sound like world war 3 outside as the local chinese gets its fire-crackers n dragon stuff going on.

I’m feeling like another period of change is starting for me and my friends… 2 friends have just moved into a new flat together, Kelly moved this weekend, phase 1 of my new furniture arrived on sat… I always use CNY as another check on how stuffs progressing… 007 still kicks ass!

Woooooo! If I manage to get a pic of any of the stuff outside, I’ll post it u later. Ciao.

UPDATED – Stu, you’re going to get a post all of your own… but yes, I knew there were more people with change going on, plus a couple of things I can’t put on here yet!

Forgot to say about the furniture n general flat sort out…

Phase 1 – studio rebuild – proper modular vinyl storage plus shiny new speaker stands! (done – arrived saturday)

Phase 2 – Bedroom sort out – no more clutter! A set of storage boxes for my “accessories” (ie silly hats, ties, comedy braces, wigs etc!) n new laundry basket (rather than the pile on the floor, till I can be bothered to do some washing) will be sorted friday.

Phase 3 – lounge furniture – new cupboards to hide all my crap – delivery tbc (approx 2 weeks)

Phase 4 – flat de-cluttering – once all new furniture has arrived, I will be aiming for the classic motto “everything in its place and a place for everything” – wooooo!

My travelling companion Kelly – exhibit A

kelly

Has a fasicination with Brits abroad, I’ll be honest, it amuses me as well. Whilst sitting poolside enjoying the sun, kelly observed that by a mile (and I mean a big fat mile) we were the thinnest Brits we’d seen over here.

Kelly asked me how anyone could get this big… and then, as if by magic the answer…

The partner of exhibit B…

bertha

…was headed to the poolside bar… and uttered a sentence that both answered the question and made us both cry with laughter..

“How many cheese burgers did you want love?”

Wow.

So many questions lead from hearing that… how many is her usual? 2… 3? What about when she is hungry??

I have to add that Kelly took the photo above, I refused as it’d be kinda pervvy if a bloke took photos of “that” but it’s ok for Kelly as a) she’s a girl and b) she’s an artist!

We both reached the conclusion that fat is now normal and so obese is fat, therefore we must now be underweight to the “average person”.

How did this happen? Why do people just let themselves go this far?

And yes it is my business, its my tax thats going to pay when her hip breaks, she needs liposuction and her diabetes kicks in.

Come on UK, sort it out!

In my defence, before anyone says “you’re lucky” and “I bet you can eat anything” – crap.

I’m carefull what I eat, i live an active life and I exercise… it’s not fecking rocket science, all it takes is a bit of discipline and thats it isn’t it… we’ve lost will power and discipline. Somewhere in amongst the happy meals and the giant pizzas we lost our self control.

i have finished

well almost.

I know some of you have wondered in the past if I’d ever finish learning stuff before I started positive link properly, I always felt that I didn’t know enough to give it a fair go… partly, yes it was fear of jumping into an unknown… but for me, I always felt there were questions I needed answered, things I wanted to know before I could give it a go… and yes it took longer than i first thought to find those answers.

When I did the Dip SLC (Life coaching) course… you might of expected me to be ready, i felt I needed to know more… some people would of been happy with a Prac. NLP certificate… not me.. but as I near the end of the pre-study for the MPrac NLP course (and the APrac CMT) I can finally say… THIS IS IT.

I feel I have the answers that I needed now, to of started sooner would not of been right for me, or any clients I took on. So, I find myself in a lovely hot place, nearing the end of the pre-study (100hrs? pah…) and planning my next steps and I’m excited about where the next year or so will take me.

(I should add here that I don’t think I know the answers to everything, thats not what I mean, just that I have the knowledge I need to take the next step – I’ll never stop learning)

Right, thats enough for today… back to poolside for me, to plan some more and top up my “tan”… I’ll post photos upon my return and you can decide on that one!

Adios amigos!
