I’m sad. Not in the “weep weep, my life sucks way”, no sad as in a bit of a loser at times.. I have this game, which yielded my best result EVER by such a margin I think it’s time to lay down the gauntlet to others…

so first allow me to explain the game…

Mobile phones have a thing called predictive text… you know, you type the number keys and it tries to work out what word you wanted… damn clever n fast once you get your head round it…

picture the scene, I’d had a few drinks and was sat on a bus home… I’m trying to type a word… but bugger it, I can’t spell it and I do that fighting the dictionary thing where you try n get the word you meant… but I can’t, however the phone decides to offer some ridiculous looking word, i think, cool, I’ll send that, they’ll know what it means. Er no. So I try again to spell the word, although my brain is now running at an even lower level… next thing I realise I have this long jibberish looking word on my phone, I think to myself “that can’t be a real word??” but it’s in the dictionary (according to the phone) and who am I to argue with it?

Now, whenever I can’t spell a word and it offers some jibberish, I see how long I can make the word by trying other possible letters… prohif… abc, YES - Prohifa… abc again, YES - prohifac… abc 3 times? No, BEEP… damn… ok mno? YES …score! prohifacm… you get the idea right? Prohifacminsjodiabaiqlyzzed is a word according to my phone. no really, it is.

I thought that one would never be beaten.. until yesterday… BEST PREDICTIVE JIBBERISH WORD EVER!!! According to my phone hugobsasarangstyiailsansyadoitiz is a word… What an awesome word!!!

Ok, so now you all think I’m weird… until you next mis-spell a word.. and find you’re playing the game… then you’ll be hooked… you have been warned!

              

holiday number 1
3 weeks time, I’m off for a week to the Canary Islands to chill out, plan the year ahead, read a load of books (for the course) and generally recharge the batteries. Woooo! A whole week of me time, nice… hope I don’t drive myself bonkers!

Skeptic Hero - James Randi
I have an open mind, but generally I’m a big skeptic of all things mystical and unproven (See ‘tree of life‘), so it’s good to see James Randi renewing his One Million Dollar psychic prize.

In short, anyone who can demonstrate psychic abilities to James’s foundation wins $1 Milllion… the prize has just had it’s 10 year anniversary, n guess what… no-one’s ever won it… wow. suprise! Now he’s going after big TV mediums and oddballs (like spoon bending Mr Geller) by issuing them public challenges… YES! I love this man, tackle the nonsense head on. Respect.

Biometric Passports
Always amongst the first to get new gadgets… I had to renew my passport and they’ve issued me with a biometric one, RFID chip n all… not sure how I feel about that… hmm.. anyway… ner ner ne ner ner gadget freaks, I’ve got a chip in my passport n you haven’t! hahaha

Another part of the spring is firing off for 007… wooooooooooooo!

              

1) Smarties contain beetroot juice. Say what?? Seriously, pick up a pack n check it out!

This got me thinking… I collected every single letter in the Smartie alphabet, except u… which they sent to me with the BEST customer service letter I ever received “we find the CHILDREN OF ALL AGES like to collect the lids for all sorts of reasons, find enclosed a letter U for your collection” (Nestle’s use of caps, not mine!) Not that I would ever sell them, but what are they worth now that smarties come in weird cardboard hexagonal things?

2) I’m too big for passport photo booths, I tried… drum roll… SIX times and still didn’t get one I could use, solution? Photo shop that takes it for you, winner!

3) Pluto is now considered a verb, meaning to be demoted. i.e. that guy just got plutoed. Yes… I’ve heard loads of people using it… ?

That’s all I’ve learnt so far this week, well, I learnt some NLP stuff in preparation for doing my M.Prac. course but thats not easy to write on here… which reminds me, another ambition of mine nears completion… to have more letters after my name than in it! Woop woop!

‘007 really is shaping up to be the year I thought it would be: the cashflow is reversed (more coming in than going out)… I have 2 holidays planned (Canary islands + Oz).. I’ve started on the course I’ve wanted to do for years… lodger situation is resolved (Carla’s working out groovy)… fitness is improving (HINT - SPONSOR ME >>>>)

Anyway, waffling (it’s 1:24am) = time for bed. Adios amigos!

Sunday July 22nd midday, 7 months to go from a-bit-fit to super-swim-fit!

“…the 17th Annual Pier to Pier swim between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers is the longest offshore charity swim in the UK…” Not one to do things by halves am I? Hahaha, oh well, in at the deep end!

My moto for this year is best summed up by my new year text out

“Happy New Year! Live ‘007 like bond… Fast, exciting, plenty of passion and some cool gadgets!”

I’m on a mission that everyone calls this the year of bond… it’s working! I’ve had a few texts back from people calling it the year of bond! Plus, even more exciting I got my original message sent to me, from someone I hadn’t sent it to… so it must of gone round a bit then come back, coolio!

Even cooler my year has started in this way already! (the spring is launching peeps)

2nd Jan… 10am… I aint gettin’ out of bed until absolutely necessary… BBBUUUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZ… stumble out of bed reluctantly… my first gadget of the year has arrived!! Wooooo!!!

I’m now the proud owner of a DigiEye… cool eh? (Erm… it sends an infrared remote signal via wireless across my house… if you’ve been to my flat you’l understand how handy this is!)

The money situation is more sorted out, thanks to the last 3 months of working like a dog… I’ve been working out and out on the bike training for the summer… holidays, I’m thinking of getting away for a week to the sun, anyone fancy coming? Oz fund, back up to a do-able level… wooohooo!
