byebye loser!

Cllr David Clutterbuck

“Who?” …probably what most of you said outloud when you read that, am I right?
Well, allow me explain… If you believe the papers, he’s the Bournemouth Councillor who was suspended from his duties and then resigned from the conservative party after he joked in an email:

“…that a modern-day Noah would have to let gay animals aboard his ark.”

Outrageous! Er… I don’t think so, not very funny perhaps. Worthy of anything more than a reprimand, I don’t think so.

Why then are all the journalists up in arms that this man was forced out for a bad joke? Political correctness gone mad type stories… the ageist card was played (he’s 70)… the “they’ve wanted me out for ages” spiel…

Not one article seems to of picked up why he was actually suspended - after he’d been asked to apologise for any offence caused made the remark he responded:

“I believe in the law of Moses. I’m not a religious fanatic. As long as they do it behind closed doors, I don’t mind, but now they (homosexuals) control the media, the television.

They have much stronger control over this country than they should have.”

Now that is suspension material, but no one seems to of even mentioned it in the media… it’s really making me sick the amount of stirring up that goes on in the mainstream media - that quote is why he got fired and frankly a disgusting view for someone in public office, I’m amazed that it’s not been picked up and shouted about!

Anyway, I’ve vented so now back to the plans for world domination… if you’re out on sat night in Bournemouth town, come say hi, I’m spinnin’ downstairs in Toko from midnight to 5.

Ciao!

the Breakfast dilemma?

breakfast
Help! I don’t know what to have for breakfast anymore!

I’m changing a lot of habits at the moment, in a continued effort to better myself.. part of that is reviewing my diet… one area I’m weak is breakfast.

Cereal is out, I’m cutting out as much dairy as possible… so by the same token…

Toast and butter/marg is out.

Just fruit is too acidic.

Yoghurt - dairy again damn it…

Full english/fry up - one word… FAT
Grill up/bacon sandwich - time constraints being the main factor here, actually, maybe that is the answer, making more time in the morning to have breakfast… I’m not a morning person, I work best later in the day… hold on, its all connected. Bugger. I’ve self analysed myself again - so do I post this or delete it now I know the answers… erm…

If you have any suggestions, bring it on baby! I’ve confused myself.

PHASE 1

£64,851.82

Quite a random amount eh?

Thats my target for phase 1, I’ve been working on the plan this weekend and whilst I’ve always known what the plan is… it wasn’t specific enough… well now it is!

I might share it with y’all at a later date, I’m not sure yet… but for now, that’s the target.

Whilst I was searching for a price for something (to arrive at the figure you see above) I also re-discovered one of my favourite quotes:

“The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself. It is not in your environment; it is not in luck or chance, or the help of others; it is in yourself alone.”
Orison Swett Marden

EDIT: In fact… I like it so much, I’m putting it over there too >>>

The National What-ery?

I’m a pretty smart chap I reckon… but goddamn the national lottery makes no sense any more!

I went to my local shop today with a friend, he decided to buy a ticket for tonights draw… he’s kinda like me in that he doesn’t believe in luck but he just felt like it… so across we wandered to the little post thing.

What the bejeebus???

Midweek lottery, Friday Euromillions, Saturday, bonus ball… thunderball, daily play and hotpicks… WHAT?

We gave up, figured that it was more likely I’d bump into Cat Deeley tonight and fly to vegas and marry her… now that’d be luck I could believe in!

my weekend with Anthony Robbins

Hello world! Did you miss me?

First up, a massive thank you to all of you who contributed towards my weekend: especially Simon and Sarah. Thank You.

Where have I been? Well, as some of you know I went to an Anthony Robbins seminar in London this weekend, I learnt some things about myself, topped up some of my life coaching knowledge… met some cool people, did a bit of mind reading and ticked another thing off my to do list… a Firewalk! Woooooo!

Yes, I can proudly say that I’ve walked over a bed of hot coals and it felt good! Attached is a photo of me (coals in background) just after I’d completed it.

post firewalk

Hold on a minute Luke, did you say mind reading?

Yep…Kinda… during an NLP exercise in rapport (mirroring and matching to try and feel the other persons mood - to demonstrate the link between physiology and psychology) I matched my target subject well enough that I felt what she was remembering: I knew she was on a smallish boat with a few friends, there were mountains nearby, it was a nice clear crisp day… I sort of saw it in my head and it proper weirded me out for a while!

Anyway, overall I got a lot out of it, some of the “conditioning” felt a bit like brainwashing to me, so I left during these sessions and worked on my plan (being that I was feeling highly motivated)… there were far too many references to a spirit/creator/god than I was happy with and whilst he claimed to phrase this as reffering to any god… it ignored what I believe in… ie nothing. It felt almost like someone preaching intelligent design - don’t get me started on that bunch ‘o crap… maybe another day.

The only thing I really didn’t like was the hard upsell, a lot of the conditioning was rightfully centered around taking action now and maintaining momentum (which is spot on)… however this was always followed by a quite hardsell approach to his other more expensive courses all £11k worth… or at a special today only (and the following day “lucky” us!) seminar price of £5k if you pay a deposit now… then back to how important it was to take action now, now… NOW!

I’ll write more about this when I’m not feeling so productive and have finished the redesign of positivelink.

Ciao for now!
