Identity theft does happen

You know, I’ll be honest, I always thought ID theft was a media hype

“fastest growing crime”
“Billions stolen in next year”
bla bla

There has been an attempted ID theft in my block of flats.

The couple who moved in upstairs have been changing their address on things to here and post is being opened or dis-appearing and the police are aware that someone in this area has been attempting to steal peoples details.

People keep leaving the front door on the latch, and being on the main road… I’d dismissed the missing post as opportunist. (anything important that gets sent to me, goes to my PO Box anyway)

I’m going to be carefully shredding everything from now on… dread to think how easy it’d be to fleece me for 000’s… hahaha, I wish…

Harsh times :(

Although… if someone stole my identity, I’m alright… got a few spares! :D

herbal highs - pt3!!

I’m getting worried that people are boshing these herbals by the handfull… I’ve heard reports of people taking 3 at a time and 12+ in one session!

Seriously, I would not advise taking any more than 6 in a 24hr period. (you will be sick, you won’t sleep and you could be at risk of seizure)

The few bits of information on herbal highs that I found out didn’t concern me too much, but the amount people are taking now, blindly assuming it is safe… worries me…

1) They’re NOT herbal. They are a synthesized form of a chemical found in the root of a plant… anyway, being “herbal” doesn’t make them safe per se!

2) ANY chemical/herb in large quantities is dangerous to the liver, try taking 12 asprin and seeing how you get on!

3) We don’t know as much about the effects of these pills, although studies in NZ seem to indicate they are not inherently dangerous.

splitzophrenia… pt2!

Ok, i’m officially very excited now.

Just got sent the proofs for the magazine advert about 2manydjs!

Herein lies the continued splitzophrenia dilemma… the line up looks like this:

Luke Dubyah
2manygenres
Shab Ruffcut…

as though 2manygenres is another entity… what a good idea! I could start being “2manygenres” as well as all my other personalities.. a kind of 2manydj’s tribute act??

I want to know what you lot think!

Is this just further proof I am a splitzophreniac, or just a bleedin’ good idea!?

Nokia N70

…Is a great phone.

I’ve had the N70 a couple of days now and had the chance to have a proper play with it… sadly the mobile update onto here did not work, I know why… so should get it going soon.

It’s the little touches I like about this phone….

The keypad is only backlit when its dark, how cool is that?? It has a sensor so if you’re using the phone in dark/dingy conditions its backlit. Sweet.

Function keys and the quick menu can be customized putting the features I use most easily accessable.

Nokia datasuite has come a long way from my old support days… it sync’d my contacts up first time via bluetooth from my laptop (without uninstalling my ericsson s/w either) and has some nifty apps for cropping images to the right size for backdrops n stuff.

Camera quality looks good… hmmm… time to try video calling me thinks!

My only gripe is that there is a slight delay when flicking quickly through the menus, thats partly me being a speed freak though… I’ve never found a phone that can keep up!

9/10

Guess who rang me today about getting a new site built… yep, headtribe the main UK distributor!

They want me to build their new site… hahahaha….

“you might of heard of our products…”

“um, yes, I’m aware of them”

hahaha :D

choices a plenty

I have a new philosophy on choices.

I’m constantly making so many choices, I’m bound to feck some up… so like I accept some projects will fail on the route to greater success I think I’m starting to accept that sometimes… even I make wrong choices!

You have that instinct, it says “don’t do it”… but won’t tell you why… so you say “yeah ok”.. then end up regretting it… or perhaps its that “go on then” when you were persuaded to do something you might not of agreed to otherwise.

Note to self:
- I’m going to say no more.
- Accept I make mistakes
- and always, always learn from everything I do.
