ok, I was doing so well on the getting my christmas shopping done early this year, I totally forgot about cards.
So, as there is no way I’ll get most of them out now before christmas, I’ve decided to make donations to Cancer Research UK and the Samaritans instead.

Anyone who’s prepared to make a commitment to another human being, is a good soul in my book… someone invite me to a fabulous gay wedding, please! (straight ones are so often tacky n cliche’d and the bridesmaids are never fit and single - sometimes one of, rarely both…)
Well, i’m glad we’re giving everyone the right to form partnerships in law. About time too.
I’ve been wondering today when it all ends? Not in a game over - “oops I’m dead” way, more philosophical.
Its 0012 right now on a sunday night/monday morning the week before christmas… and I’m doing work.
Where does it end? Does their come a point when you stop n say, “all done!”?
All of my ambitions, boiled down to the simplest ingredient… just involve more work.
I finish this phase… and start work on the next cunning plan… sure I’ll achieve stuff along the way (in a non-arrogant way, I know I will) and hopefully be able to get that place in the sun in the next few years.
Fundamentally though, I’ll just be working on increasingly bigger projects!
Note to self: Make more dedicated chill time. Remind yourself of the game plan and keep the faith!

Sorry, that was maybe a bit harsh… regular readers will know its a pet hate of mine but this takes the biscuit… I had a hoax email sent to me via someone in the police force about a fake date rape case. Now I’m almost of the opinion to reply back to the originators boss and get them in trouble, that seems a bit harsh though… But for fecks sake, someone within the police (even if they are a clerk or whatever) adds credibility to these damned urban myths!

Whatever, I need to up my game.
I’ve been drifting along these last few weeks, entries here have been a bit random too, sorry peeps.
Its easy to make excuses like I’ve:
had a lot to think about
not felt very well
got a lot on
been trying very hard
They’re excuses.
I need to make some tough decisions n just get on with it.
Don’t get me wrong, I have acheived some stuff recently that is important and moves me onwards… it’s just that I’m failing to live up to my own standards that I know I’m capable of.
About 3 months ago, I agreed to be the point of contact for all owners and the managing agent in my block of flats… it’s meant a bit work, but the advantages are far out weighing that… the block is finally starting to get sorted out (painting, removing the rubbish problem…) and I’ve met some important and potentially valuable contacts.
See, about half the block are owned by investors, who spend their time investing in companies and property… I know I’ve impressed all of them, they keep telling me so, why does this matter you ask? I’m going to need an investor in my next venture. If they’re not interested, I know they’ll have friends who are or will help me to find them… you can’t pay for that kind of help.
It comes around to my old theory of luck and networking. You make your own luck by being open to opportunities and seeing the bigger picture… I just need to make sure I grab this while it lasts and not drift into becoming some sort of hermit coder who lurks at home 24/7.
It’s too easy to pine for far away places and forget how beautiful our own doorstep can be…
Can’t wait for the weekend, going to a BBQ on friday (yes, in december) and then Hed Kandi on saturday… good thing I’ve written off the weekend really!
