I’m not sure how old I feel… there’s so much going on at the moment, one minute I feel all growed up, making tough decisions and working hard… the next I’m being child-like and playing PS2 games whilst eating chocolate birthday cake! (note: child-like… not childish!!)

This year really is a year of massive change, well it seems that way so far, I’m leaning towards getting a job for a while… for a few reasons…

1) Cashflow is tighter than I’d like, n I’m 29 for christs sake… not a student!
2) Having a “real job” will make it easier and better to get a 2nd mortgage… the property empire approaches!!!!
3) I’ve done most of the things I wanted to that required me to be self employed.
4) The summers almost over anyway!
5) I’d like to save some money to go to either Japan or Oz next year. (I reckon going to Japan would be like going into the future!!! all those gadgets n stuff… woooo!)

Hmmmm… anyway, I’ll decide right after I finish playing on this scalextrix thing my sis gave me…. Happy Birfday me!

3) “Oh, I sent that txt about 20 mins ago when there was an orgy in the kitchen!”
WHAT??? (from my flatmate!) Where was I??? I know a few of us ended up here…

now I’m really confused…. as these 2 are to different people! Have I got “it” or has someone else????

3) Being on the floor in the burger place, someone I know pushed me off my record box… must get them back!

Head hurts, vision in 1 eye only at a time, might go back to bed.

for lots of reasons, this weekend is going to be big…

first up, the birthday bash of justice @ Slinky tonight… 163 groovers on my VIP list… for a room that holds 50…

then saturday, my cousins are down so we’ll all go for a BBQ on the beach (the weather WILL hold!)

Sunday is my annual family picnic… be good to see loads of relatives I’ve not seen for months.

Sunday night I’m going for tea in Dorchester… meeting the girlfriends mum, for the first time, bit scary!

Monday, its my birthday, I’ll be… go on guess? 29 seems far too near to 30 for my liking.

Also, this monday is D Day.

Decision Day, check the finances, check the income, work booked in and decide if I need to get a job. Dum dum duuuuuh

I also relaunch Polysonic on monday (+ a new Electro Disco mix for dload), to emphasise my design and music stuff… ready for the full launch of positive link on friday.

Yesterday was good.

A delightful sunday afternoon lunch at Pizza Express followed by chillin’ on the beach with a good selection of chums… taking a swim in the sea and playing some Boules.

Then, as you’d expect, the game got changed… Krazy Boules was born!

Basically the game is the same except you add an obstacle, place the jack on the obstacle and then see who can land nearest.

We developed increasingly challenging courses (holes? or maybe targets?? hmmm…) including gullies, moats, ramps… with the final round being a mound with the jack on an upturned coke can in the middle surrounded by a double moat…

Well… it kept us amused for a couple of hours… cost of Boules set: £2.50… average age of players, hmm about 28

I stand by my earlier thoughts, simplicity = happiness.

hold on.. diversity = happiness… ok… um, simplicity + diversity = happiness! “NERDLINGER alert”

I’m glad I live a life where I can be paid to play tunes I love on the radio, walk to the beach afterwards and see a big fireworks display.

Being able to enjoy the simple things in life, is my meditation… be it a trip to the beach, fireworks, taking the bike for a spin, snapping pics with my new camera or just getting excited and passionate about the things I do.

Here’s one of the pics I took tonight, there’s only 6 good ones in the gallery as I’m still experimenting with exposure times to get groovy shots so most were a bit blurry… man, I think I’m headed towards photo-nerd-dom.. I almost found myself wishing I had a tripod!
