Good luck to Mr Chris Bailey and Ms Vicky Devine… LIVE on Chris’s show at Cafe Mambo tomorrow, they are going to make a bet to give up smoking… to the sum of 500 Euros!!
Now thats an incentive not to smoke!
Three top tips, for being a non-smoker….
1) Say to yourself you are a non-smoker… not a smoker who has “given up”, psychologically this trains your brain to think “I do not smoke” rather than reminding yourself that you are missing out on something.
2) Replace smoking habits with others
Stopping smoking means changes to the structure of your day, use of your hands… all sorts of habits associated with smoking. For example if you used to go for a fag break with colleagues, take a 5 min non-fag break, get some air… go to the water cooler.
3) Save all the money you would of spent into a jar, when you find yourself waining, spend that fund on a luxury for yourself to re-inforce the benefits.
I’ll be honest, I’m with the simpsons on this one… “smokers are jokers”
Still not feeling great, had to abandon the mix last night and just rest… I think sometimes I push myself too hard, other times I can be as lazy as the next man… weird eh?
Striking a balance is pretty much the key to everything in life.
Would of been nice to do the mix last night, I fancy something new to listen to.
Now, time to try n knuckle down and get back on track…

Groggy, slow, tired, hot… had to go to level 3 today
Hope I feel better later, really want to record “Electro Disco #2″ tonight. Plus I’m working to a tight schedule I’ve set myself, a set back this early could mean the dreaded jobsville for me!!!
Read MoreIn case of feeling groggy, ropey or otherwise slow in the morning I have a procedure:
Stage 1) Cup of tea, some breakfast and a glass of water to wash down appropriate drugs (paracetamol today)
if that fails I go to…
Stage 2) Quick trip to the shop next door for air and a redbull.
when that fails, or if it’s worse than that progress to…
Stage 3) A large bottle of lucozade, plus any other drugs I can find that seem to fit the bill! (decongestants, throat things…)
When that fails to get me going, I know I need to rest/recuperate.
Fortunately today only requires stage 2… good thing really, I’m on target with my redevelopment of positive link and the installation of a blog for content managment.
